Our Women's Retreat provides the opportunity for you be encouraged and challenged from the word of God and enjoy rich fellowship with fellow sisters in the Lord.  Our speaker, Susan Farren is a paramedic, fireman's wife, author and speaker.  Susan's authenticity, transparency and utter dependence on God will inspire you in your walk with Christ.

Women's Retreat provides plenty of options for learning, relaxation and adventure.  Saturday afternoon includes various seminars with options for a day spa, shopping, and for the first time ever, girl skeet shooting and air rifles.  Saturday evening we feature our very special pajama party with the comedy and musical team The Beaudettes.  Sunday morning culminates with a stirring time of worship, testimonies and time at the Cross.


A little more about our featured speaker...

Our speaker: Susan Farren is a woman well acquainted with the challenges of an unpredictable and adventurous life. Susan is a former Oakland paramedic, paramedic instructor and stand-up comedienne. She  has become widely known through her book, "The Fireman's Wife" (Hyperion 2006). She wrote it after her husband, Dan had a near fatal accident fighting a fire. In her book she shares her experience as a wife and mother struggling to raise a growing family in the midst of an unpredictable, exciting and sometimes frustrating life with the fire service

Something Beautiful: Finding Wholeness from Your Hurt
Do you ever feel trapped by past mistakes, sin or unforgiveness? Do you wonder if God can heal those deepest wounds that have been locked up inside for so long? Unreservedly, the answer is yes! Through the healing power of Jesus Christ we can overcome even the deepest of hurts. Come Tricia Hayward as she shares her testimony and the scriptures and resources the Lord brought to her to find healing and wholeness.  

Tea Cups & Tattoos   Working through the challenges of the ever changing relationship between Mom and the Teenage daughter growing into young adulthood can be tricky for the both of you. Maintaining the balance of freedom and protection through difficult situations such as dating, tattoos, & drugs, will test your patience and love for one another. Turning the Prism  It's often hard to see how God can use something that looks evil-- for good; and it can be difficult to claim the truth that "everything works together for good for those who love the Lord." But that's what the Bible says. Join Michelle Ule for an hour of stories and ways we can "turn the prism" of looking at our circumstances to catch a glimpse of what God might really be up to in our lives.
